NEL makes rapid progress

The preparations for the construction of the NEL pipeline (Norddeutschen Erdgasleitung – North German Gas Link) are making rapid progress.

The planning approval processes are currently underway in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Lower Saxony for the second connecting pipeline for Nord Stream. A new Internet website at www.nel-pipeline.de has now been set up to keep the public informed on the project’s progress.

The Internet site contains a comprehensive questions and answers page which provides all the relevant background information at a glance. Additional information sources include a special press section and a detailed description of the project. The Internet site is also constantly updated with all the latest news on the NEL.

The NEL will pick up the natural gas arriving through the Nord Stream pipeline in Lubmin near Greifswald and transport it over 440 kilometers westwards to Rehden.
